Thanks for stopping in to visit the site. We at the Stinson's Korean
Martial Arts Academy want to bring the realization that anyone can
train in the martial arts. We strive to show students what has been
passed to us and let them know there are no "secrets" in
the martial arts. Feel free to look around the site and send us
comments or questions at the links above.
What do we teach?
At the school in Glasgow, Kentucky we teach classes in Mu Sul Kwan
Hap Ki Do. In addition to this art, the students will learn aspects
of other arts. The ideal goal of the instructors at the school is to
make the student a complete martial artist that can handle his/her
self in any given situation. We are not a tournament or sport minded
school, although we may go to one or two a year. Pressure point
applications are heavily emphasized in the classes.
Our mission
and teaching philosophy.
To put into a few words what our complete teaching mission and
philosophy would be very hard. The instructors here have a teaching
philosophy all their own and no two are exactly alike. This is what
makes our school so different than most "belt factory"
schools. To try to make each and every student that comes through the
door a warrior and a caring person is the overall goal. Disciplined
lifestyle and a no holds barred approach to self defense is a key to
our mission. The students that are in school have to bring in grade
reports to stay in the class, those needing help in certain areas can
ask for help, we will always be there for them. We all come from
different backgrounds, why try to act like we are all the same.
Individuality is something we should strive for and hold true to our heart.
